Full Description:

The Ledyard Historical Society Winter Meeting will be held on Friday, March 5th at 7:30 pm at the Ledyard Congregational Church Fellowship Hall on Route 117 in Ledyard Center, Ledyard, CT.  Patricia Schaefer, author of "A Useful Friend:  A Companion to the Joshua Hempstead Diary 1711-1758", will present a program about the geographical world of Joshua Hempstead.  Where did he work, travel, trade and how did New London connect with the wider world?  Books will be available for purchase.  Look for more information at www.ledyardhistory.org.  It is free and opened to the public.
